Description
Upright forest verge tree. Fast to 4m @10years, then to 20m. Coloniser, nationwide, more common in North Island. Foliage softer to touch & more weeping in form than very similar Manuka. Only white small flowers, often at different time to Manuka. Longer life than Manuka, sometimes not encouraging regeneration of other species. Wonderful firewood. Flaky bark.
