Graceful & upright. Steady to 4m@10years, maximum of 20m. Coastal or riparian. Wellington north to upper Waikato, Auckland, eastern Hauraki Gulf, and Chatham Is. Nice form, hardy, lush. Flowers earlier than other kowhai, in September.
