Small single leader tree. Slow to 3m @10 years, maximum of 5m.Northern coastal. Deep green glossy foliage similar to Karaka. Showy large red berries. Sturdy leathery growth typical of offshore island species. Rare. All from a single tree on Three Kings Is. Dioecious
