Description
Hardy, medium-sized tree fern reaching up to 10m height. 2-4m silver-lined fronds spread horizontally from the crown. Found nationwide in lowland and hill country forests up to 700m altitude. Tolerates drought better than other tree ferns and enjoys summer warmth. Sustains only light frost. Prefers moist fertile soils. Subject to damage in high wind. Best sited in shaded protected conditions or where protected with crown available to light.
